Fort Gratiot Charter Township (the “Township”) is seeking bids from qualified firms to perform the services contained herein.

Sealed bids for Residential Solid Waste, Recycling, and Yard Waste Services and Municipal Dumpster Service will be received by the Fort Gratiot Charter Township Clerk Robert Crawford until 10:00 AM, EST, on Thursday, October 25, 2018. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter in the Gardendale Meeting Room at the Fort Gratiot Municipal Center.

Fort Gratiot reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed to best serve the needs of the residents and the municipality.  The bidders agree that their bids will be held open and will be subject to acceptance by Fort Gratiot for thirty (30) days after the bid opening.

Thursday, October 25, 2018 @ 10AM: One bid was received and it was from Marcotte Disposal. Clerk Robert Crawford opened the sealed bid and Supervisor Jorja Baldwin read the bid aloud. Representatives from Marcotte were in attendance, as well as a representative from Jeff’s Rubbish. The bid will be on the November 7, 2018 Regular Meeting agenda of the Board of Trustees for review.

Sealed bids for the Charter Township of Fort Gratiot Sanitary Pump Station #7 & # 12 Improvements will be received by the The Charter Township of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, 3720 Keewahdin Road, Fort Gratiot, Michigan 48059 until 11:00AM, prevailing local time, on Thursday, May 25th, 2017. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter in the Charter Township of Fort Gratiot Offices general meeting room.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment required for the demolition and reconstruction of two sanitary sewer duplex lift stations including the removal and replacement of existing wet wells, pumps, control panels, standby generators, power transformers, electrical service, equipment, furnishings, appurtenances, aggregate surface, traffic control and restoration.

Contract Documents, including Construction Drawings, Instruction to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Contract Forms, Bond Forms and Contract Specifications may be examined after 9:00 am, prevailing local time, on May 8th, 2017 at the offices of BMJ Engineers & Surveyors, Inc., 519 Huron Avenue, Port Huron, Michigan 48060. Digital files on CD-ROM (for a nonrefundable fee of $10.00) or hard copy (for a nonrefundable fee of $35.00) may be obtained after 9:00 AM on May 8th, 2017 from BMJ Engineers & Surveyors, Inc., 519 Huron Avenue, Port Huron, Michigan 48060, 810-984-5596. Contract Documents will be shipped for an additional $15.00.

Bids shall be on a lump sum basis with cash allowance for specified portions of the work. Bids shall be submitted on the proposal forms provided by the Engineer.

A Bid Bond in the form of a certified check, bank money order or a bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5 percent) of the amount of the bid made payable to The Charter Township of Fort Gratiot will be required with each bid.

The right is reserved by OWNER to accept any Bid, to reject any Bid, and to waive irregularities in Bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Bond, Maintenance Bond, and insurance certificates.

Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 calendar days after receipt. All bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms provided by the Engineer.

Fort Gratiot Charter Township will receive bids for the construction of a Dog Park in McIntyre Park-Phase 1 until 4:00 PM EST on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Bids will be submitted to: Jorja Baldwin, Fort Gratiot Municipal Center, 3720 Keewahdin Road, Fort Gratiot, Michigan  48059. All bids shall be sealed and submitted on the official bid forms. Fort Gratiot reserves the right to refuse any bid, in whole or in part.

The new Dog Park work will include, but not be limited to, the construction of an aggregate park entrance and parking lot, concrete walks and surfaces, chain link fencing, site grading, and other minor improvements. Bids may be submitted as a complete project or individually by item number per the bid form.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, material and equipment required for the preparation, demolition, removal and sending all material to a landfill, including grade and seed lawn restoration and all associated work required in removing the structure(s). See above listed addresses.

Bids shall be on a lump sum prices for the work. All bids must be submitted on the proposal form provided by Fort Gratiot Township for that purpose.

The right is reserved by Fort Gratiot Township to accept any bid, to reject any bid, and to waive irregularities in bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance certificates.

All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on Fort Gratiot Township contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders.
