PART TIME HELP WANTED – ASSESSING DEPARTMENT SEASONAL FIELD ASSISTANT

We are accepting applications for a part-time employee to work no more than 28 hours per week at rate of $10.00  per hour. Normal hours are expected to be 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The office is open Monday through Friday, but the days could vary depending on weather conditions and the needs of the office. Applicants must be willing to work with Assessing Department on property data collection.

JOB TITLE: ASSESSING DEPARTMENT SEASONAL FIELD ASSISTANT
FLSA: NOT EXEMPT
SUPERVISED BY: ASSESSOR AND TOWNSHIP SUPERVISOR

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Part-time position not to exceed 28 (twenty eight) hours per week assisting the Assessing Department with property data collection. This would entail field work such as measuring and taking pictures of all buildings/structures on every property inspected. Also to perform various clerical and/or office machine jobs as necessary.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Assist Assessing Department Personnel with onsite property data collection
  • Measuring buildings/structures
  • Taking/renaming/print pictures for files
  • Perform various clerical functions and operating office machinery as deemed necessary

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
An employee in this class, upon appointment, shall have the equivalent of the following training and experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possession of a valid Michigan Vehicle Operators License
  • Pleasant and professional manner
  • Intermediate knowledge and use of digital cameras and measuring devices
  • Ability to perform on site data collection and basic office equipment
  • Must pass pre-employment screening
