Yard waste pickup begins Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17th, 2013. The last days for yard waste pickup are Tuesday, November 26th and Wednesday, November 27th.

2013 Service Delays (Applies to both Tues & Wed p/u unless otherwise noted):
Trash & yard waste pickup will be delayed by one day, due to the following holidays:
Memorial Day—Monday, May 27
Labor Day—Monday, September 2
Christmas Day—Wednesday, December 25 (Wed. only is delayed, Tues. is normal)

On these weeks only: if your regular day is Tuesday, pickup is Wednesday and if your regular day is Wednesday, pickup is Thursday.

Trash & yard waste should not be out before 7 PM the night before and no later than 7 AM the day of.

With approximately 100 acres of green space, Fort Gratiot Township has the best park system in the area. There are five parks in the Fort Gratiot Township Park System; State Road Little League Park on State Road, North River Road Park on North River Road, The Mercy Village Bike/Pedestrian Path on the Mercy Village grounds, Keewadin Beach/Fort Gratiot County Park with entrances on Keewadin and Metcalf Roads, the Scenic Kettlewell Pond, located on Parker Road, The M-25 Bike/Pedestrian Path along M-25, and the Bike/Pedestrian Path and Wetland Nature Park following Vincent Road to the old Pierre Marquette railway bed.

There’s something here for everyone, whether it’s playing baseball, basketball, tennis, football, volleyball or soccer; fishing in Lake Huron; enjoying a day with your  dog at your favorite park; taking a leisurely ride along our many bike trails; or enjoying a round of golf with family & friends.
